Farmers Market now Open
The Atlanta Farmer’s Market is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from sunrise until the produce runs out-usually about 10am. The Farmer’s Market is located on Louise Street next to the police station in Atlanta. For more information contact Lisa Thompson at the chamber at 903-796-3296.
4-H Day Camp set for June 9th
A great opportunity is coming your way once again. It is our Annual Back-To-Nature 4-H & Youth Development Day Camp.
• When: Saturday – June 9, 2012
• Where: At the Cass County Cowboy Church
US HWY. 59 (Between Atlanta and Linden)
• Time: 9.00 AM – 2.00 PM (LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED)
• Cost: Free
• We will be providing several educational stations, informational booths, recreational activities and hands-on training in leather craft.
• This event will also be an opportunity to meet with the county Extension Agents, volunteers and existing 4-H clubs.
• We look forward to seeing you there and hope that you may join us in our 4-H & Youth Development Program, either as a member or a volunteer.
Catfish Tournament to be held.
Big Catch catfish tournament hosted by Friends of the Park on June 2, 2012 at Cass County Park on Lake Wright Patman-pancake breakfast, horseshoe tournament, and washer toss, cake auction, fishing tournament, and much more. The money raised will go to adding more equipment in the park and to upgrade existing equipment. Memorial Day Program held in Downtown Atlanta
Around 100 people gathered at veterans plaza in Atlanta Monday morning for the annual Memorial Day program sponsored by the Atlanta and Queen City VFW group.
