TEXARKANA – A two vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Interstate 30 eastbound at the two mile marker in Texarkana, AR killed two and injured four. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, a 2015 Ford Mustang driven by Richard Lopez, 44, of San Antonio, TX was traveling eastbound in the westbound fast lane. A 2017 Kia Optima driven by Takyah Latin, 28, of Hope was traveling westbound in the westbound fast lane. The Mustang collided with the Kia’s front passenger side.
The crash killed Jabrea Conway, 24, of Prescott and an unnamed minor child in the Kia. (It is the policy of the Arkansas State Police to not release the names of minors.) Conway was pronounced dead at the scene by Miller County Coroner Kelly Rowland. The minor child was pronounced dead at the hospital by Dr. J. Harris. Injured in the wreck were the drivers Takyah Latin and Richard Lopez. Also injured in the Latin vehicle was an unnamed minor child, and Jaquala Flowers, 28, of Hope. The injured were taken to both Wadley and St. Michael Medical Centers in Texarkana. Arkansas State Police Corporal Cullen Young was the investigating officer.
