ATLANTA – A portion of US 59 north in Cass County is scheduled for surface rehabilitation soon, according to plans awarded in March by the Texas Department of Transportation.
“This project, which involves a process called diamond grinding, will retexture the surface of the northbound and southbound lanes,” said Texarkana Area Engineer Tommy Bruce.
The project will take place just north of Linden, starting four miles south of FM 2328 south and extend to State Highway 11, an area covering almost five miles.
Winding Road Construction of Bigfork, MN was awarded the contract with a bid of $2,198,711.
Weather permitting, work should begin in June 2023 and take about four months to complete.
