Jann Elbert Lummus, age 78, of Texarkana, Arkansas, formerly of Ashdown, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord Sunday, July 02, 2023, in a Texarkana, Texas under Hospice care..
Jann was born January 23, 1945, in Atlanta, Texas, to Elbert and Ethel Lummus. He was retired from Domtar; a member of First Baptist Church, Texarkana; and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid outdoorsman.
Jann was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Kay Lummus; sister, Cindy Lummus; and by his parents.
He is survived by his children, Daren Wayne Lummus of Texarkana, Texas, Janette Lummus of Texarkana, Arkansas, Susan Lunsford of Texarkana, Arkansas, Deanna Ford and husband Daniel of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Johnny Lummus and wife Opal of Atlanta, Texas, Rickey Lummus of Atlanta, Texas; sisters, LaJuan Cross of Atlanta, Texas, Cherry Crowfutt and husband Monty of Texarkana, Texas, GayLynn Lummus of Hope, Arkansas, Shelia Rojas of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Johnny Lummus, Kenny Lummus, Daren Lummus Jr., Blake Erie and wife Kim, Hannah Kuykendall and husband Avery, Lily Anderson, Zora Law, Ellis Ford; great-grandchildren, Cade White, Kai Erie, Chandler Erie, Timothy Erie, Kenny Lummus Jr., Rose Borah; and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Laws Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Travis Young officiating.
