Duncan Lynn Attaway, age 58, of Fouke, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born May 27, 1965 in Texarkana, Arkansas to James and Doris Attaway. Duncan was a member of SonRise Cowboy Church, Sidney Masonic Lodge # 455 and was a retired operator with the Local 178 Union. He was an avid outdoorsman and a beloved member of his community, but his family brought him his greatest joy.
Duncan is preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Attaway, Leighann Attaway; son in law, Lynn Peavy; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen Attaway of Fouke, Arkansas; two sons, Jason Johnston and wife Brandie of Fouke, Arkansas, Cory Johnston of Texarkana, Arkansas; three daughters, Lacy Peavy of Fouke, Arkansas, Shade Shields and husband Cody of Queen City, Texas, Cale Raven Attaway of Fouke, Arkansas; brother, Kevin Attaway and wife Mary of Fouke, Arkansas; sister, Jamey Scott and husband Charles of Benton, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren, Colton Johnston, Tanner Dye, Kayla Bradford, Austin Dye, Jaycie Johnston, Skyla Beckham, Nicolle Johnston, Marshall Peavy, Sarah Johnston, Lyndan Peavy, Haven Peavy, Camryn Shields; three great grandchildren, Avrie Dye, Wrenlee Beckham, Raylie Murphy; and a number of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Chapel, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Frank McFerrin and Mark Kennamore officiating.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday August 7, 2023 at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Chapel.
Interment will be in Independence Cemetery, Fouke, Arkansas.
