Tonya Darlene (Long) Domokos, born December 3, 1963, passed from this life, Friday, March 5, 2019, at her Texarkana TX home. She was 55 years old.
Tonya is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Eva Jo (Blalock) Long; and sister Jacqueline Suzette Long. She is survived by her son Nicholas Domokos and fiancé Lia Hamilton of Fort Walton Florida; step-sons Steven Domokos and Chris Domokos of Houston TX; daughter Rachael Boone and husband Logan of Atlanta TX; sister Sandy Mahon and husband Carrroll Williams of Atlanta TX; and three grandchildren.
Tonya loved her family more than anything, her outreach kids, serving others through Special Prevention Unit of Texarkana TX, and working at AHEC for many years. She was an advocate for epilepsy awareness. She attended Texas A&M where she attained her Masters in Instructional Technology. Her passion was mass communication. She was the director of the homeless shelter in Atlanta TX. Her grandchildren were her world and she had a great sense of humor. She loved her service dog, Kaley. Tonya was a woman of faith and leaned on God for strength. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Tonya will be cremated under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home. Her gathering service will be held at Queen City Funeral Home, Tuesday evening, April 9, 2019, beginning at 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Memorial services will immediately follow ending at 7:00 PM.
