Joyce Marie Endsley Jackson, age 94, of Bivins, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Palm Sunday morning, April 2, 2023, in Atlanta, Texas surrounded by her family.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, 104 North Louise St., Atlanta, Texas. Interment will be in the Bethsaida “Y” Cemetery in Bivins.
Joyce Jackson was born August 5, 1928, in Bivins, Texas. She was a life-long resident of Bivins and a charter member of the Nazarene Church in Atlanta. She and Louis were married September 21, 1947, until his death in 2015. She was a homemaker and mother to the children of the family and the community. She loved her family, her church and made a huge and loving impact on numerous people in the community.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louie L. Jackson, two sons, David Louis and Robert Daniel Jackson; her grandson, Steve Durmon; her parents, Estel and Leola Crow Endsley; and one brother, L.E. Endsley.
Joyce is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Harold (Dick) and Margaret Endsley; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy D. and Janice Endsley; brother and sister-in-law, Loyd and Jo Endsley; sister, Helen Endsley Banks; sister, Mary Ann Endsley Reece; sons, Donald Jackson and wife, Mary, of Marietta, Texas and Richard (Doug) Jackson and wife, Susan, of Bivins; daughters, Ruth Jackson Nash of Atlanta, Texas, Judy Jackson Durmon and husband, Mike, of Bivins, Becky Jackson Flanagan ~and husband Doug (Omar) of Texarkana, Texas, Tammie~ Jackson Wise and husband, Mark, of Atlanta, and Lorie Jackson Minter and husband, John, of Marshall, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 12 great, great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.
