The Cass County Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Office will be undergoing changes as of May 1, 2023. Jessica Fitzgerald, Cass County Extension Agent-Agriculture & Natural Resources and John Ferguson, Prairie View Cooperative Extension Agent will both be moving on to other opportunities.
Karen Porterfield, Cass County Extension Office Secretary will still be in the office, located at 1008 N Louise Street, Atlanta, TX, and will do her best to continue to provide assistance and educational resources with the help of County Extension Agents in neighboring counties, providing Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service (tamu.edu) and Texas A&M AgriLife Learn | Courses, Publications, and Merchandise (tamu.edu) educational literature and resources. You can also leave a voicemail or email her for any questions about the Cass County 4-H Program. For any information you need, you can either stop by the office, call the office voicemail, 903-756-5391 and leave a message for someone to return your call.
The Cass County Extension Office is currently undergoing phone service transition and once the new number is established, Karen will share our new phone number immediately here, with Cass County Today, The Cass County Citizen’s Journal Sun, The Cass County Extension Facebook Page- Cass County-Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service | Facebook and on our voicemail message. In the absence of a full staff it is better to call ahead and leave a voicemail if you need to visit the office, especially if you are traveling here from outside Atlanta.
