James D. Andrews, age 72, of Doddridge, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and savior, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in a local hospice facility. He was born November 22, 1950 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Ernest and Geraldine Welborn Andrews. James was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and loved to build things with his hands. He was an avid outdoorsman and really enjoyed fishing.
James is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ernie Andrews; and nephews, Kevin Andrews and Jason McDaniel.
He is survived by two daughters, Violet Andrews of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sandra Brown of Houston, Texas; sister, Elaine Purifoy of Doddridge, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and a number of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 27, 2023, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, in the Macedonia Cemetery, Doddridge, Arkansas, with Bro. George Goynes officiating.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Hanner Funeral Service.
