Alfred Merrell Gennings, 66, of Atlanta, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2023. Mr. Gennings was born June 14, 1957 in Atlanta, Texas to Aubrey Gennings and Malvertie Hudson Gennings. Alfred served his country proudly in the United States Marines. He loved to go fishing, but his pride and joy were his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Tim Gennings and Susan Weerstra; daughter, Julie Burk and Randy Gillespie; brother, Owen Gennings; sister, Margie Stringer; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
