Sherri “Mimmie” Clayton age 66, of Wake Village, Texas, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 26, 2023 at her residence.
Sherri was born January 25, 1957, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Sammie and Lee Sawyer. She was a Homemaker; and a member Enon Baptist Church. Sherri enjoyed spending time with family and loved animals.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sammie Sawyer.
Sherri is survived by her husband, Mike Clayton of Wake Village, Texas; mother, Lee Sawyer of White Hall, Arkansas; daughter, Stephanie Hubbard and husband Harv of Atlanta, Texas; son, Ron Seale and wife Melody of Nash, Texas; brother, John Sawyer and wife Susan of Texarkana, Texas; sisters, Sandra Mobley and husband Solon of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Laura McFall and husband Norman of Charleston, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Brianna Musgrove, Baylee Solida, Brayden Solida, Adalyn Seale, Tristan Cullom; her fur-baby, “Rico” and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Hanner Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Jason York officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
Interment will be in Cass Cemetery.
