Bob Shirley, age 73, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 10, 2023 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. He was born October 3, 1949 near Crowell, Texas to Robert and Virginia Minnick Shirley. Bob was an accomplished cabinet maker, enjoyed being outdoors and loved old cars, but his grandchildren and being with his wife, Sheila, brought him his greatest joy.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Kay Miller; and his parents.
Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sheila Shirley of Atlanta, Texas; son, William Slack and wife Angie of Richardson, Texas; daughters, Leslie Dotson and husband Jeff of Atlanta, Texas, Carly Anderson and husband Turner of Texarkana, Texas; three sisters; six grandchildren; and a number of other family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
