Graveside services for Ennis “Steve” Dewitt Peaks, age 60, of Gilmer, will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Ore City Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Mr. Peaks was born October 30, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas and passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in Richardson, Texas.
Steve was a Construction Superintendent who built Senior Living Facilities. He was a family man, who was always consistent and persistent! He was a jokester and loved teasing people close to him. Over the years, Steve was a mentor to a lot of young people, including his own children and grandchildren, who knew him as “Pop P”.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents: DeWitt Peaks and Joyce Lamont Robinson. He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Peaks; Children: Pagan Peaks, Danelle Champion (Robert), James Cromeans (Nicole), Cassandra Phelps, Brandon Cromeans (Emily); Grandchildren: Payton, Landon, Gabe, Zoe, Jackson, Maize, Ruthie, Jagger, Tristan, Lane, Emma, Charles, Gage, Madison, Bryland, Sylas, Hayden; Brothers: James Peaks (Chris), George Peaks, Jason Peaks; Sister, Gena Slayton (Dudley).
He will be missed dearly by his loving family and friends.
