Lester Earl Roach, age 63, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 25, 2023, at his residence. Lester was born September 11, 1960, in Naples, Texas, to Norris and Merle Roach.
Lester had a larger than life personality. To know him was to love him. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Once you met Lester you couldn’t forget him. He truly lived his life to the fullest.
Lester had a passion for music. He played drums for 30 years with Texas Smoke, He loved being Big Bubba Big to his nieces and nephew, his rocking chair, Caddo Lake, his animals and being surrounded by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Janice Thurman.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Heather Thurman Roach; aunt, Ann Green; step-mom, Loretta Barron Roach; brothers, Justin Roach (Amy), Jason Roach; nieces, Madi Roach, Kressley Roach; nephew, Kinsler Roach and a tribe of many friends and family.
There will be a time of visitation with the family at Queen City Methodist Church Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 1 pm to 2 pm. Followed by graveside services at Queen City Cemetery with Jeff Parker officiating, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
