Ada Doris Law, age 93, of Bivins, TX, was promoted to heaven, May 22, 2023, at the Golden Villa nursing home in Atlanta, TX.
Ada, known by most as, “Dob,” was born April 19, 1930, in Atlanta, TX, to Charlie and Virtie Porterfield. She was known for her selfless and giving nature. She was a wonderful seamstress and knitting expert. Dob’s hobby came from her giving heart and busy hands. There are countless individuals who have wrapped up and kept warm in beautiful blankets and afghans made by Dob. She retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition plant.
