Cass County was approved by the Texas Secretary of State to utilize countywide voting. This means that on Election Day, a voter can vote at any voting location. For instance, if you live in Linden, Atlanta, Queen City or anywhere in Cass County and happen to be in Hughes Springs on Election Day, you can vote in Hughes Springs. ANY VOTER CAN VOTE AT ANY VOTING LOCATION IN THE COUNTY.

Those living outside the city limits will see the county assistance district proposal. If passed, it would allow the county to receive 1.75% of the 8.25% sales tax on purchases made outside the incorporated areas. This revenue would help lower county property taxes and only be spent on roads and bridges, infrastructure, debt reduction, and economic development.
