Alice V. Storey, age 92, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in a local adult care facility. Alice was born August 25, 1931, in Shallowater, Texas, to Zachary and Leila Guthrie. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and was a member of Cross Creek Cowboy Church. Alice enjoyed painting, drawing, writing and reading. She also loved gardening, sewing and telling stories, in fact she loved talking so much sometimes she would talk when there was no one there to listen.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Son, Otis, Glen, Bernice, Gurlie, Foy; and by her parents.
She is survived by her children, James O. Tidwell and wife Donna of Hughes Springs, Texas, Zachery T. Tidwell and wife Christy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Teresa Blythe of Queen City, Texas, Ann Granberry and husband George of Redwater, Texas, Michael E. Coleman of Jackson, Mississippi, Joseph E. Coleman and wife Andrea of Jackson, Mississippi; grandchildren, Andrea, Leon, Pam, James Andrea, Thomas, Tammy Jodie, Emily, Zachery, Cody; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
