Sally Moore Welch was born September 21, 1931 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Bill and Sara Moore. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on January 22, 2024. Sally was kind and creative lady who was always willing to help others. She was a wonderful cook and was very involved when her children’s activities when they were growing up. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs where she taught Sunday School for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Welch; her parents; and a brother, William Anthony Moore.
Sally is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Marianne Welch of Katy, Texas and Toni and Randy Black of Hughes Springs; two grandsons, Heath Smith and wife, Carli of Katy and Jonathan Garcia of Salt Lake, Utah; great-grandchildren, Ian Smith and Delaney Smith.
A private, family burial at Hughes Springs Cemetery will be held at a later date.
