The City of Atlanta has selected Kelsey Knox as the new Tourism & Visitor Center Director. This role oversees marketing & media strategies, management of the Mattie Lanier Richey Center, and operations of the Visitor Center & Historical Museum.
Ms. Knox received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Middle Tennessee State University. She has more than a decade of experience in the Parks & Tourism realm, including five years with Texas Parks & Wildlife. Her career has focused primarily on creating marketing campaigns & materials, developing educational programs & events, and performing tourism outreach.
Most recently, she served as the Events & Communications Manager for the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce, where she organized community events, managed communication efforts and media accounts, and assisted with tourism operations.
Ms. Knox looks forward to beginning her tenure with the City of Atlanta and highlighting everything our wonderful community has to offer.
